Melisa is the best party planner there is! We have used her for all three of our children’s mitzvahs and she hit it out the park all three times. All of her recommendations were top notch, she kept us on track, made great suggestions to personalize our celebration and took the stress out of the planning process. I have several friends who changed party planners after one event and I think it speaks volumes about Melisa that we used her for all 3 of our kids. I would use her again and again if we had more children!

Melisa is an astute professional who had the experience and patience to guide us through six different plans as we prepared a wedding during the pandemic. She was always there to steer us in the right direction and was respectful of family traditions and the likes and dislikes of the bride and groom. Melisa is easy to work with, organized, creative and detail-oriented – and she kept us on track with the many, many decisions that had to be made. Melisa also recommended excellent vendors and helped us negotiate for what we wanted and needed. On the night of the wedding, many of our guests told us how pleasant Melisa and her team were and how they helped things run very smoothly. It was a fantastic celebration and Melisa played a critical role. We would highly, highly recommend her.

Where do I begin? Hiring Melisa as our wedding planner was the best decision we could have made. Melisa worked with us to plan our wedding for almost 1.5 years and she really brought our vision to life – she is the reason why so many of our guests are still talking about how our wedding was “the best and most beautiful they’ve been to”! Melisa is extremely organized/detail-oriented, hard working and fantastic at problem solving. She thinks of and prepares for everything, has a very strong network of vendor partners, and deeply vets all vendors and services to ensure that every aspect of her events are executed to the highest quality possible. She never stopped working until she knew we were 100% happy with the full picture – her tenacity is so impressive! Melisa is also a great listener, flexible, and honest. She is the perfect balance when it comes to wedding planning – leaning more heavily into areas where we needed guidance and creative inspiration and focusing more on (exceptional) execution in areas where we had solid vision/ideas. And, she never let us make a bad decision! We really appreciated her transparency in telling us if an idea we had was not going to work, not worth the cost, etc. In terms of day-of coordination, Melisa ran our wedding day flawlessly – she is an expert with logistics and has a confident and calming aura that puts everyone at ease. Throwing a two day multi cultural wedding feels easy when Melisa is working her magic. Her events speak for themselves. We couldn’t be happier with how our wedding turned out, and Melisa was just such a pleasure to work with overall. Anybody would be lucky to have Melisa as their wedding planner (or as a planner for any other event). She is the BEST! We’re genuinely going to miss working with her.

Melisa planned an exceptional day for our daughter’s Bat Mitzvah! She helped us choose a venue, caterer, DJ, photo booth, games, decor and swag—she even helped zip up my gown! Melisa navigated some challenging requests with ease. She only recommends well-vetted vendors and was able to introduce us to several at different price points to meet our budget. We loved all her vendors and were impressed by their professionalism and coordination. Melisa speaks fluent teen-ease. She knows all the latest trends for swags, games and decor, and was also able to tell us where we could save and where we should splurge. When Melisa broke her ankle a week before our event, I was worried. But she fully delivered—on wheels! In a scooter, she still managed to make sure every detail of our event went smoothly and on time. I expected there to be mistakes, but honestly, every element of the party was perfect. She coordinated the day-of timing beautifully and made sure I remembered to pack all the little items. Our family was truly able to be present at our party and enjoy our guests. Most importantly, our daughter felt loved and special because of a perfectly planned Mitzvah.

Melisa from The Event of a Lifetime did an incredible job pulling together our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding. For my 60th Birthday I wanted a Margaritaville themed party. Melisa worked with my budget to exceed even my imagination. Her creativity and attention to detail was perfection. I travel for business and she worked with my very busy schedule to remove the stress and worry. She was so excited & made the planning fun. Melisa and her crew thought of everything, from the email invitations, colorful decor, themed food, music, games and entertainment. She is there the day of completely hands on to execute your plan to the tee, is flexible to allow things to happen organically, and is trouble-shooting in the background so you can just fully enjoy your day and guests. Melisa made great suggestions to make the wedding more personal and flow better. Overall, working with Melisa took away all the stress as she held our hands every step of the way, constantly communicated with us in real time, and made us feel everything was going to be ok– more than ok– she made everything simply wonderful and easy breezy. We can’t thank Melisa enough for all she did for our family and being so patient with our last minute changes!

Melissa was great, she helped me and my mom plan every detail. She was especially great at helping us with securing a great tent deal as well as decor which had the room come out beautiful. Unfortunately Melissa was booked for another event on the day of my wedding, but she helped in every way possible before the event and had someone great cover the day of.

Melisa at The Event of a Lifetime, Inc was vital in helping me plan my Castle Chic Summer wedding. She was helpful in organizing the vendors contracts and scheduling the timing of events for all the vendors the day of.
